Band Title Description
Blasphemous Ripping Alive Christ Five track demo from this Polish trio. A mix of traditional Nordic style along with some bestial-esque type riffs. Nice gritty sound as well. Ravenheart Productions.
Blodulv Kristkrossare Re-release of the bands demo, on Wolfrune Worxx.
Blodulv S/T Re-release of the debut, on Wolfrune Worxx.
Blodulv/Aska The Purest Cold Precision Two Swedish hordes teaming up on this split. Both playing the raw style although Aska is cleaner sounding here than on the demo. Total Holocaust Records.
Blodulv/Pestiferium Satanic Murder Order Blodulv sound pissed and angry on their side of the split. Nice shitty sound too. Pestiferium provide a counterpoint of morbid melancholy amidst the backdrop of blastbeats. 500 copies on War Productions.
Blodulv III/Burial Tape version of the bands third full length. Not straying too far from their previous formula: very distorted guitars, harsh distorted vocals. Limited to 300 copies on Eternal Desolation Records.
Blood Stained Dusk Continuance of Evil Latest release from this symphonic US band. Full length with five tracks for forty five minutes. Clean and pretty sounding. Limited to 666 copies on Propaganda.
Bloodoffer Antichristian War Hate Don't know too much about this band. Distorted vocals, heavy sounding guitars, drum machine, bestial aggression. Self-released.
Bloodrain The Bestial Years Russian black metal celebrating ten years. So you get a variety of tracks. Some live tracks and some covers (Danzig, Venom). Limited to 525 copies on Osolon.
Bloody Harvest Black Hordes This sounds like shit. Yes the production is bad but this just isn't good. The drum machine and vocals are too loud, they cut right through the guitar (which sounds like shit anyway). This is just a bad, bad demo.
Blut und Boden Blut und Ehre He's back, More primitive and brutally stripped down nsbm. However, this one is even more stripped down than the previous, no drums at times. Five tracks, just over eight minutes. Only bastard crazy enough to release something like this is Teutonic Satan.
Blut und Boden This Is Our World This is something. You really don't hear many demos like this. This is just some nasty, nasty sounding shit. Teh production is shitty and sharp. The compositions are brutally primitive. Most could not stomach something like this. Ildjarn like? Perhaps. Teutonic Satan.
Blutvergiftung Void of Meaning 3rd demo by this US band. Sloppy production, erratic drums, desolate, hollow vocals, mid-paced.
Blutvergiftung Demo IV More melancholic bm like demo III. Still underproduced, sloppy and not mixed.
Bone Awl At the Ellipse's Arc $5 New cassette version of the limited 7" vinyl that came out last year on Northern Sky Productions. This time resurfacing as a collaboration release between Klaxon and NSP. The cassette itself comes in black with professionally printed artwork on the shell sides. It also comes packaged in a 4"x6" ziplock with oversized cover. Musically, these songs are some of BONE AWL's crudest and most powerful. The songs here focus on the lower arm of the swastika as it swings down, away from life.
Branstock S/T Tape version of the mcd. Compiles tracks from various splits plus a few previously unreleased tracks. Limited to 111 copies on Teutonic Satan.
Briargh Eh El Bosque De Erudinus Contains the first and third demos from this one man band from Spain. Self-described as dark heathen blackmetal. Limited to 300 copies on Blood and Soil Productions.
Brocken Moon Pain rehearsal + Schattenlicht des Mondes Ritual black metal released by Heidens Hart.
Brumalis Ancestral Spirits Return To Their Thrones...Embraced By The God Two albums on one tape. Raw and cold emotional pagan NS war metal with some death and RAC touches. AMF Productions.
Burevestnik Fleeting Images Strange stuff here. This is not exactly typical black metal. Atmospheric in a "light" way if that makes any sense, easy listening. Eight tracks for thirty minutes. Osolon.
Burning Blood Unholy All out assault of chaos and noise. This is some mean sounding stuff, surely not for everyone. Extreme stuff. Limited to 60 copies.
Bustum Voices From the Past 1994-1995 Tape compiling the early demos from this Polish band. Also includes a track from a side project. Excellent sound as well. Totally pro done tape. Limited to 250 copies on Garazel Productions.
Caedes Vocum Animus Silvae Winterreich Productions.
Caina The Cold Taste of Perdition 2nd demo on Drakkar Productions. Different from the first in that there is a noisey ambient track with vocals and a piano track with vocals. Other tracks are like the first demo.
Caina The King Beneath First demo from this new UK band. Distorted guitars, screeched/growled vocals. Not typical bm, parts give way to cleaner guitar parts only. A different style. Drakkar Productions.
Calth Domini Another demo from this one man Bulgarian unit. Pretty much the same as the other demo with the exception of the programmed drums, sounds even more mechanical here. Six tracks in total, limited to 500 copies.
Calth My Reach in the Unholy Night New Blugarian band. Three track promo tape. Pretty straightforward black metal. Home digital recording sound, drum machine which only gets annoying during the blasts. Limited to 166 copies.
Cantus Infame Idem Brazilian black metal in the Brazilian/northern way...fast fast fast blast blast blast. Full length with eight tracks, Malkuth and Enthroned covers. Nigra Mortis Productions/Goat Music Records.
Carcan Humain, Trop Humain New band from the depths of the French underground. Drum machine, very distorted guitars. At times moments recall the Black Legions.
Carcharoth My father was a wolf Pagan bm from Spain with a rockin drum machine. Battle Hymn Records.
Celestia Delhys-catess A prelude to the upcoming album featuring four tracks. Seems Malefic of Xasthur has hopped on board for this one, providing some synth work.
Celestia Dead Insecta Sequestration Not much needs to be said about this long running French act that of course includes Noktu. Top notch French black metal. Excellent sound on this demo. Drakkar Productions.
Celtic Dance 1488 Blood & Triumph Now this is an interesting release from one of longest running Portuguese bands. This tape compiles rehearsal tracks, unreleased tracks and live tracks. Limited to 500 copies on Legion Rekords.
Cendres Ungeziefer New French band offering up a five track demo drenched in distortion. Mostly mid-paced but also more ferocious passages and some slower ones as well. Drakkar Productions.
Chalice of Blood Angelus Diaboli More blasphemy and satanic praise by a new band courtesy of Satanic Propaganda Records.
Christ Consumer Disgust New US band. Primitive, simple black metal. Interesting guitar tone, drum machine, death metal like vocals that are not good and too high in the mix. Six tracks, twenty four minutes brought to you by the filth monger that is Teutonic Satan.
Christ Incest Dismembered Divinity Aggressive black metal in the bestial/war vein from this Austrian unit. Eight tracks to bash your skull to...if you like it violent and brutal. Limited to 100 copies on Daemonokratia Productions.
Church Bizarre S/T Death/black metal out of Denmark. On the cleaner side sound-wise, pounding and extreme. Includes a Nunslaughter cover.
Ciel Nocturne/Devil Mind Split Ciel Nocturne is a band linked to Svartkrig and Dyster. Traditional black metal is what you will find here. Given the links to the other bands, this one fits perfectly soundwise, a good raw rehearsal type sound. Five tracks from Ciel Nocturne, one being a Darkthrone cover (Hans Siste Vinter). Devil Mind offers six tracks. Quite a contrast as well as they play epic pagan style black metal. Limited to 200 copies on Wolfsturm Propaganda.
Circle of Ouroborus Shores Tape version finally in stock. A welcomed edition considering the cd is sold out. This is where it all began. Still one of their best releases without questions. Heidens Hart.
Circle of Ouroborus Streams The 2nd full length from CoO. This is not much of a stretch from "Shores", very much in the same vein. Off-beat and still dreary, the only change I can notice is in the vocals, but it is slight. Defintely no sophmore slump. Again they continue in what seems to be becoming a tradition with their interludes. Northern Sky Productions.
Circle Of Pestilence Bubonic Plague Five tracks, thrity minute release from this one man Croatian operation. Quite a strange guitar tone, unique, provides a good atmosphere. Mid-paced traditional black metal, programmed drums. Limited to 50 copies on Daemonokratia Productions.
Cold Northern Vengeance The Arising Dungeon Cult USBM on the technical side, also emplying the use of keys. Epic at times even. Good sound for a demo as well. North Cabin.
Cold Winter Season of Sorrow Epic, majestic ambient from France.
Coldness Poisoned Gift Anti-human and suicidal bm from Nocturnus Horrendus. Great raw sound, one of NH's best works. Limited to 300 copies, Alastor Rex.
Command Sturmangriff This release includes two demos, one being their 1998 demo remixed. Other than that, I don't have anything good to say about this material so I won't say anything else. No line up, no contact, thank kvlt!
Conjuration Demo I Old school horror heavy metal is what is says in the J card. Pretty accurate description. Simple, straight-forward, no frills. Bonus track included.
Contamino Mother Nature Gased The very first release on Carnal Records! Totally pro done tape. Very hard to come by this these days.
Corpus Christii The Torment Continues The laetst full length from this Portuguese outfit. One of the main bands of Nocturnus Horrendus. Traditional bm.
Cosmic Church The Blessing Yes another new Finnish band! This is their debut offering and it is a solid demo. Nice rough sound to it. The style is in the traditional Finnish style so again, like other recent Finnish demos, if you are a fan of how they do it then check this out. Also comes with a lyric sheet.
Count Nosferatu Soleil noir Last demo from this band who have since revealed themselves to be homosexuals and thus are out of the scene. That being said, this falls in line with the Drakkar demo tradition of being underproduced. Dual vocal style a times, music shows some technical skill.
Crepusculum Era Diabla - Kult Annihilacji Misanthropic and nihilistic aura of pain and destruction. Fascination of death and terror...total opposition against everything and everyone. A co-production of Hail Satan 666 Productions and SPR, 333 copies.
Cripta Oculta ...do Passado Another strike from CO paying homage to their pagan roots. Drum machine driven, good riffing, great vocals, unpolished sound, atmospheric. A solid demo, three tracks spanning twenty-two minutes. Teutonic Satan.
Cripta Oculta Ode ao Metal A rather obscure band from the Portuguese underground. This demo contains two Cripta Oculta tracks and then covers of Varathron and Black Sabbath. Their original tracks are quite solid. Metal Legions approved? BiC. Winterreich Productions.
Cripta Oculta/Nortada Gelada Split True underground Portuguese bands presenting two tracks each. The style of Cripta Oculta is melancholic and mid-paced. Nortada Gelada is more aggressive and raw, more variety within the tracks and more atmospheric. NG really shines on this split, great material. Limited to 222 copies on Eternal Desolation Records.
Crucified Mortals Rehearse Hell Three piece from Ohio playing old school death metal. No toilet bowl vocals, no shitty triggered sounding drums. Fistbang Records.
Crucifixion Wounds The Hammer of Purification CW return with a four track promo in their bestial Beherit style. This recording is more lo-fi than their previous. Two metal tracks and two non-metal tracks.
Crucifixion Wounds Crumbling of the Heavenly Kingdom Oh man. Dirty, nasty, rough, vile bestial black metal from this German outfit. Not brutal like Proclamation but this still stands on its own. Good stuff here. Five tracks.
Cryptic Lorn Storm of Satan's Fire Brazilian band paying homage to the norsecore style. This stuff is blazing fast, would make Marduk proud.
Csejthe L'echo des ruines New Canadien band playing atmospheric black metal. On the slower side of mid-paced with a slightly raw production. Intro, outro and four additional tracks, twenty five minutes. Limited to 250 copies on Infernal Kommando Records.
Cult of Daath Triumphant Holocaust Thick, churning, bulldozing black metal. One of the few good bands from the US. Recommended.

Tracks range from mid-paced to fast, distorted guitar, programmed drums. Includes a Burzum cover, Black Spell of Destruction. Eternal Warfare Productions.
Cultes Des Ghoules Angel of Poison and Death Three track demo from this Polish horde. Very demonic vocals that are quite dominant in the mix. Overall the music is in the bestial vein. Garazel/Flagellum Haereticorum.
Cultus Promo 2007 Three advance tracks taken from upcoming split lp, and four songs taken from "A seat in Valhalla". Heidens Hart.
Cultus Hymns of descending Four long new tracks, still typical for Cultus although the songs are much slower, ranging from uptempo black metal/rock to ultraslow doom metal, although Cultus spirit is more then present... No drumcomputer and relatively clear and epic production. Excellent atmosphere and feeling. Proprinted doublesided booklet comes with long motivation, photo's, etc. Released by Antihumanism.
Cultus De Zwaarden Spreken The birth of Cultus, the first demo. More epic sounding in that there is some ambient passages and synths used in some tracks. BiNF, DFC NLC.
Cultus Our Swords We Raise...Our Gods We Praise The debut full length from the DMDF. This is the re-release of the tape version, minus one track. Pagan/black metal with excellent riffs.
Cultus A Seat in Valhalla Traditonal style bm with pagan elements, done pretty well. Tour de Garde.
Cunt Worship Whores of Satan Very primitive, simple, lo-fi bm from Finland. Only material by this band, as far as I know.

Dead Reptile Shrine A journey through the darkest of forest's Tape version of the sold out debut cd. From the Werewolf Records website....Shamanic ritual demon worship. Obscure and filthy, defintely not for everyone. You do not classify this stuff by instrumentation, composition or sound, simply because it is not musik. Released by Antihumanism Records.
Deathcraft The Seal of Solomon on Fire A low profile Finnish band that has released several hard to get demos. This demo contains only two tracks. What you can expect is the traditional Finnish style of cold, atmospheric/melancholic black metal. Production is clear but the overall volume is low.
Death Ritual S/T Quite raw bm, bad sound, some melancholic parts. Wasn't expecting much from this one but I am surprised. This is well done. Diabolous Productions.
Death Triumphant Obscure Origin Obscure bm. Lots of variation in the vocal style and the flow of the songs, if you are looking for variety, plenty here.
Defuntos Mundo de Lapides First demo from this Portuguese act. Four tracks with a very good raw rehearsal type sound. Only guitar used is bass, very interesting approach. Good somber atmosphere. Limited to 250 copies on Hell War Productions.
Deinos Mastema Ruines One man French man unit and this is his debut offering. Very atmospheric, melancholic and contemplative black metal. Good sounding guitar tone, this would be better with real drums though. Eight tracks. Eisiger Mond.
